Maria & Trevor | The Barn at Cedar Meadows | Cedar City Wedding | Utah Wedding Photography

Maria and Trevor are genuinely two of the nicest people I have ever met. They had so many friends and family come for their special day, they are loved by so many. I felt like I had known them for years and I was so honored to be part of their big day.

They have the sweetest love story! The two met at a Bible study in Cedar City and then reconnected about seven months later at a church that both of them happened to be visiting that day. Maria was in the congregation and Trevor was the guest preacher. Isn't that fate?!

Their wedding was absolutely stunning! They chose The Barn at Cedar Meadows for their venue which is my favorite venue in all of Southern Utah. The huge windows, dark wood and stone, and high ceilings make for a photographer's dream! I've shot there many times before and I have always loved it.

Their ceremony was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have witnessed. Maria is from Costa Rica and her family was able to make the long journey to be there on her special day. There was a translator so the vows were done in both English and Spanish. Trevor and Maria incorporated their families into the ceremony- their parents walked each of them down the aisle and they each gave a gratitude speech for their parents. I loved that their ceremony was very centered on Christ and making Him a part of their marriage. Trevor's father built a beautiful union cross- they each had a piece and put it together to symbolize that they were one with each other and with Christ. Their vows and ring exchanges were so sweet and heart felt! They chose to save their first kiss for their wedding day so it was a very special moment for them when they become husband and wife and got to share a kiss for the first time! How sweet is that?!

It stopped raining long enough for us to take group and family photos. And there was even a rainbow later that we made for a stunning back drop! Their reception was gorgeous as well. They made sure to include Maria's culture with some Costa Rican food, dancing, and music. Maria danced with her dad and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Trevor and Maria had a beautiful first dance, I can tell that he will take good care of her and I know they will be very happy together. The atmosphere was so energetic! Everyone had so much fun during the bouquet toss, guarder toss, and cake cutting. A send off with light wands was the perfect way to end the night!
